Thanks for the article Daniel.
Keep in mind that what the author is saying here is that the skirt lengths and colors are telling us that we are in a bear market - NOW (note that the article was posted on June 1st). These styles were actually conceived, sold, and manufactured last January/February for late spring/early summer delivery into retail stores. And lo and behold, we had our correction from April to July. So what is being worn now doesn't necessarily reflect the future. As a general rule, the development of fashion leads the stock market by 3-4 months, and the stock market leads the economy by the same amount of time. When I have some time, I'll make a post on what we're seeing for fall/holiday 2010.
