cumulative NYAD chart (breadth), with equity index prices and their major price horizontals...in the lower portion of this chart the 8-day and 20-day moving averages for the daily NYAD are displayed for the purpose of identifying relative extremes:

* cumulative NYAD approaches an important horizontal level ... will this level hold, if and when tested from above?

chart of the daily NYAD (breadth) since 2008, with a plot of the NYAD's 8-day moving average vs. the recent horizontal extremes:

* examine the lower three data elements in this chart relative to their configuration:

when the Nov 3 & 4, and the June and October, 2009, levels for the 8-day moving avg. of the NYAD resided at -550 area, or lower

-----------

 * will the average daily breadth now return back toward the zero line as it did in June and October?

* the lowest data element in this chart needs to hold its August low, and eventually return to an upward bias

$XAU resides in the main body of this daily chart since 2007 ... selected commodity futures above $XAU, ... and XEU (the Euro) and US dollar below the $XAU:

* for the $XAU, the daily CCI-272 has remained above the +100 level since early September, except for a brief period

* $XAU bulls want to see the 3,13,1 macd sustain a move back above the zero line for a trending move up

* note the US dollar relative to its $76.21 major price horizontal

(note the price lines and histogram contained in the chart below only show daily closes, not the entire day's price range)

GDX 60-minute closes:

* CCI-272 needs a sustained move back above +50 to support another trending move up ... one idea of several
