Shares of CDC Corp. in premarket trading Friday continued an ascension that began Thursday after two analysts initiated positive coverage of the Hong Kong-based software maker.

A Raymond James analyst gave an "Outperform" rating to CDC, and an Oppenheimer analyst initiated coverage with a "Buy" rating. Oppenheimer called CDC one of its "best small cap ideas" and a Top Ten pick for 2007.

CDC's shares rose an additional 28 cents, or 3 percent, to $9.65 in premarket trading Friday. The shares gained 11.7 percent Thursday to close the Nasdaq at $9.37.
