Please note that I got confused on the days of the week and thought that it was Monday. I want to thank all those who participated, especially Lew (thespookyone) who did a great job in reviewing things in my absence. To make up for this missed event, we will have a chat session on Wednesday, 9/9, to correct my blunder. My sincere apologies for not showing up and for any inconvenience this may have caused the reader.

2015-09-08 16:05:13 rite01: I hope this means Dave's business has picked up.
2015-09-08 16:05:24 thespookyone: ditto
2015-09-08 16:05:37 orange: haha
2015-09-08 16:06:51 thespookyone: I paid 1.77 for gas Sunday in Cleveland, pretty incredible
2015-09-08 16:07:34 orange: Always amazes me that milk is more expensive than gasoline
2015-09-08 16:07:44 thespookyone: good point
2015-09-08 16:07:45 rite01: You got me beat by 2 cents
2015-09-08 16:08:07 thespookyone: not bad, it's been a long time since those numbers, eh?
2015-09-08 16:08:10 rite01: spooky congratulations you now hold the record
2015-09-08 16:08:15 thespookyone: LOL
2015-09-08 16:09:08 rite01: Yes too long.  Only got that price because got 50 cents off for shopping at Kroger.
2015-09-08 16:09:46 thespookyone: Mine was just straight up, no discount, in North Olmsted Ohio, pretty unreal
2015-09-08 16:10:19 rite01: That is amazing hope it's sign of the times for the rest of us.
2015-09-08 16:10:36 thespookyone: I do too
2015-09-08 16:11:28 thespookyone: I think the charts look better (maybe that will get Fib here to yell at me, LOL)
2015-09-08 16:12:53 orange: I think when I was in college, the unofficial time for cancelling a class was 15 minutes...At least, that's when all the students would just call it
2015-09-08 16:13:33 thespookyone: I bought calls on SHW, HFC, and AAPL into the close Friday. So far so good, AAPL lagging a touch
2015-09-08 16:13:52 orange: Planning to hold during the event?
2015-09-08 16:14:10 thespookyone: No, just think the run into it will be good
2015-09-08 16:14:44 rite01: spooky I agree.. I want thank him a while back he mention a ST chart set up for Index's and Sectors and they all signaled a buy last hour of trading last Friday and stayed that way all through the day.
2015-09-08 16:15:02 orange: I was thinking about a NFLX bear call spread. High premiums, and if Apple makes any announcement about Apple TV providing content that competes with NFLX, it's going to get crushed with it's high multiple
2015-09-08 16:15:30 thespookyone: I looked at NFLX this morning, it looked awful [smile]
2015-09-08 16:19:34 rite01: Well who wants to be monitor till Dave get's here or is that not allowed?  There looks to be a lot of good info in the charts tonight
2015-09-08 16:21:54 thespookyone: I can take a shot, or you could, as well, Orange
2015-09-08 16:22:20 orange: Ha! I wouldn't dare...
2015-09-08 16:23:13 thespookyone: OK, I've done it while he was gone and he seemed OK with me, but I don't have Dave's skills for the small nuance...
2015-09-08 16:23:24 rite01: Sound good spooky and thanks
2015-09-08 16:23:41 thespookyone: OK
2015-09-08 16:24:56 thespookyone: Looking at the commons, the MCO made a higher high today, and looks to have taken out the high of mid July
2015-09-08 16:26:01 thespookyone: Nice size posting on the summation, and the 10 percent index has reached the zero line, creating a cross over buy signal
2015-09-08 16:28:05 thespookyone: Sorry, was looking at the NASDAQ the commons only looks much the same, but the MCO not quite as strong
2015-09-08 16:28:57 thespookyone: cross over buy signals on the components of the commons, composite, and Naz
2015-09-08 16:30:34 thespookyone: Crossover buy on the components on the NDX, but the posting on the summation is much narrower=weaker
2015-09-08 16:31:27 thespookyone: Also, the 10 percent index there has yet to reach the zero line.
2015-09-08 16:32:12 thespookyone: That said, I think Fib would prefer to see the soldiers (NASDAQ) leading the generals (NDX) like they are, I know I do
2015-09-08 16:33:05 thespookyone: Like the NDX, the posting size on the SPX was fairly small (weaker)
2015-09-08 16:33:47 thespookyone: The MCO made a higher high, but I think we'd like to see that mid July high on the MCO taken out
2015-09-08 16:34:44 thespookyone: On all the MCO's viewed so far, though, we have a series of bottoms above bottoms, and some nice texture as well, which is good to see
2015-09-08 16:36:10 thespookyone: Crossover buy on the OEX, same weak posting size, higher high on the MCO. Nothing to write home about, but positive, none the less
2015-09-08 16:36:50 thespookyone: The Dow looks much the same as the SPX, NDX, and OEX
2015-09-08 16:37:23 thespookyone: The mid caps, however look a bit stronger.
2015-09-08 16:39:10 thespookyone: Larger posting size on the summation, better push on the MCO (clearing +50 there would be nice) 10 percent has come through the zero line already, it's showing very nice strength.
2015-09-08 16:40:07 thespookyone: Now, it may hesitate a bit when the 5 percent index hits the zero line, but in this position, I wouldn't expect it to slow much
2015-09-08 16:40:41 thespookyone: Nice look on the small caps, as well.
2015-09-08 16:41:35 thespookyone: Nice posting on the summation, currently about half way through the first gap resistance area
2015-09-08 16:42:35 thespookyone: 10 percent index at the zero line, crossover buy. I would expect it to pull the 5 percent index there, as well, before too much "flutter"
2015-09-08 16:43:16 thespookyone: Decent summation posting on the total market index
2015-09-08 16:43:59 thespookyone: Now headed toward the -500 area
2015-09-08 16:44:39 thespookyone: Nice MCO movement, I feel a break of 50 to the North would be a big heads up
2015-09-08 16:45:25 thespookyone: 10 percent index there at the zero line, pulling the 5 percent North, sporting a crossover buy
2015-09-08 16:46:05 thespookyone: Lets check out the Arms index
2015-09-08 16:47:17 thespookyone: OUCH, NYSE TRIN at .36, SQUEEZE
2015-09-08 16:48:07 thespookyone: However, in my experience, many moves start out as a squeeze event, and proceed from there, we'll not assume, though, and keep our eye on that!
2015-09-08 16:48:43 thespookyone: Open 10 at 1.02, mildly oversold, wow
2015-09-08 16:49:42 thespookyone: NASDAQ TRIN at .56 squeeze looking there,as well
2015-09-08 16:50:25 thespookyone: Open 10 at .90, I'd call that the bullish side of neutral
2015-09-08 16:51:02 thespookyone: Total market TRIN at .58, also looking to have squeeze flavor
2015-09-08 16:51:50 thespookyone: Open 10 at .94, neutral to mildly oversold
2015-09-08 16:52:24 thespookyone: Now, how about a look at the OBV's
2015-09-08 16:55:29 thespookyone: The CVI's all have a nice boost, but none look particularly climactic
2015-09-08 16:55:49 thespookyone: The STVO's look fairly neutral
2015-09-08 16:56:06 thespookyone: many near, or at, the zero line
2015-09-08 16:58:00 thespookyone: many of the VTO's are starting a slow climb out of a deep hole, notably here the XLE making some pretty decent progress
2015-09-08 16:58:54 thespookyone: Breadth was better than 3 to 1 today, all in all, a pretty nice day for the bulls
2015-09-08 16:59:39 thespookyone: I think we'd like to see many of the MCO's take out the 50 area to make a longer term bull trade here
2015-09-08 17:00:21 thespookyone: But, the bottoms above bottoms on the MCO's, and the fact that they are being built with texture, is very nice to see
2015-09-08 17:01:32 thespookyone: That's about all I've got. Many years with Fib for me, but always more to learn. There is an incredible amount of nuance's to these charts.
2015-09-08 17:02:01 unc1998: Thanks Spooky
2015-09-08 17:02:32 thespookyone: For myself, I'm long the three issues posted earlier, and will probably exit before Fed results (no balls, LOL)
2015-09-08 17:02:50 thespookyone: No problem, quite welcome
2015-09-08 17:03:12 unc1998: maybe we will bust some of these triangles tomorrow
2015-09-08 17:03:25 thespookyone: I hope Fib is OK, I'm sure we'll hear something soon. I think we meet back here Thursday
2015-09-08 17:04:13 thespookyone: Unc-my SPX triangle already has a small break to the upside, ever so slight, but a break none the less
2015-09-08 17:04:13 rite01: Thank you Spooky great to see it explained (very well) in the same way but from norther's point of view
2015-09-08 17:04:29 thespookyone: Thanks rite
2015-09-08 17:04:37 rite01: I see he posted around 5 this afternoon at TT
2015-09-08 17:04:40 unc1998: very good....just eyeballing some of them now
2015-09-08 17:05:18 thespookyone: cool, something must have just come up, or maybe computer issues
2015-09-08 17:06:42 thespookyone: See you guys Thursday. Kick that market but, but consider the Fed, we are still in hit and run mode here
2015-09-08 17:07:02 rite01: Good to see so many logged in tonight..
2015-09-08 17:07:27 thespookyone: It is! We are all in this together, and we make a great team!
2015-09-08 17:07:50 rite01: Yes with your help!
2015-09-08 17:07:58 thespookyone: wow, thanks
2015-09-08 17:08:27 thespookyone: Goodnight all, good trading too you!
2015-09-08 17:09:19 rite01: Good night all!

2015-09-08 17:36:43 fib1618: we got readings above +25 today
2015-09-08 17:38:29 fib1618: and some pretty structure to the MCO's tonight
2015-09-08 17:38:40 fib1618: I will go into greater detail on Wednesday
2015-09-08 17:38:48 fib1618: again...I am terribly sorry about this

2015-09-08 17:39:39 fib1618: good night
